Tallinn, vacation and tattoos
2nd of June 2008 4:45pm

Tallinn was great! We had fun, drank much and were rich much. We took a taxi everywhere and we searched for a rock bar, and just told the driver "rock music bar" and he took us to a bar that played Jennifer Lopez. We visited Scotland Yard, a bar where the staff is dressed as british police and the toilets were inside wooden medieval torture chairs. We visited a strip bar, 10€ inside each, and saw two lame soft porn (just titties) shows from two incredibly hot girls, and I tipped the other in her thong. The guy at the door told us "you know girls, there's no male strippers here", and we told him it's ok, he winked and gave us the dirtiest smile I've ever seen. We had a blast for the whole day, and when we came back, Johanna & Minka came over and we had a girls night, then Johanna left and Minka stayed for the night.

Also, I got a tattoo. It was a shitty place but they had good inks and they were hygienic, and the tattoo artist himself was very cute. Nana got a little heart under her left ear for 20€ and I got the dragon on my right shoulder for 30€. A bargain! Click the small picture on the left for a bigger one, but the picture was taken with a cell phone so it's not a very high quality. Now, as you guys may know, I've been craving for a tattoo since I was 8 years old, but since in Finland the law states that anyone under 18 can't get a tattoo without the written permission of their legal guardian, I haven't had the chance to get one. My parents have always said that when we kids turn 18 we can modify our body as we please, but as minors, no way. My oldest sister has two tattoos, a tongue piercing and a belly button ring (as does my other older sister), all taken at over 18, but I took my first piercing at 15 and my parents haven't really given me hassle ever since - they just tell me they think they look ugly. With tattoos the line has always been a strict not-until-you're-18, but since Estonia doesn't have that law, I got inked. I took it out of a catalogue, even though I had promised myself I'd never do that, but I liked it so much I wanted to have it just like that. It did sting and hurt a bit, and the tattoo artist was rolling his eyes at me as I cringed. But, I love it anyway, and I'm glad I finally got inked.
As my family is away for two weeks they haven't seen it yet, but I believe that since it's small and I paid for it, they'll just say "that's hideous" and leave it at that. What do you guys think of it?

I have no idea what's wrong with Plurk, but the widget you see on the right states I'm 23 years old even though I've put my actual birth date there - born in 1991. I used to have my birth year as 1984 in my hotmail account for some reason (don't remember why I put it) but I changed that to 1991 ages ago.

I'm feeling really good, even though I've basically spent all my money - I haven't got much left. I shopped a ton of clothes and jewelry, but also, drinking, smoking and taxis cost a fuckload. What also raises my mood is the fact that I've got no work anymore. Woo!

Cheap alcohol and cheap dresses

Yes, a new layout. You won't believe how fast I got bored of the previous layout, the small tables, the small font, the small whole. So this one's bigger, and with the gorgeus girl and the notebook feel, I'm liking it. The lyrics are from Juliette & The Licks' "Inside the cage", of which the David Gilmour Girls remix is featured on GTA IV, and I've gotta tell ya, it's one of the best remixes I've ever heard. It's... amazing. Listen to it, now.

Tomorrow it's the day, my paycheck arrives! Even though it's around 730€, which ain't as much as I thought and it actually even isn't that much money, I'm still stoked. 'Cause I'm lucky to still live at home and have my parents pay for food, bills and the rent, it's all going on me - I'm gonna shop my arse off. On Tuesday my best friend Nana and I are going to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, to buy those cheap alcohols and fags - like I mentioned in my previous entry. This summer has been absolutely fantastic, I'm just waiting for the actual vacation, as since now I've been working since the 2nd of June, but come the 4th of July, I'll be on my way to my lovely hedonistic ways of life. To the ones who don't know, a hedonist is a person who bases their life on pleasure instead of, for example, logics and use. I'm definately a hedonist, I have habits that I know are unhealthy to me, but which I do because I enjoy them - smoking, drinking, energy drinks... But then again, many that are healthy - sex, weight loss, workout. I just believe in pleasure more than other things. I prefer living a happy, pleasure-filled life and die at 40 than living a (in my opinion) dull life and live until I'm 90. Hedonism all the way.

So, today me & my sister Aura (who leaves back to Italy on Tuesday, by the way) went for a coffee and a little shopping. As I won't have money until tomorrow I mainly just looked around, but then I ran into a dress similar to the one on the left in Gina Tricot and decided to buy it tomorrow. For some reason the GT website is not working on my computer, but the dress pictured here is from the H&M website and is otherwise pretty much identical to the dress I'm gonna buy, except for the fact that the GT one is black, has more buttons and doesn't have pockets. I'm thinking about wearing the dress with a long-sleeved red shirt beneath, put a red belt below the boobs and some black stockings or leggings. It's gonna be a real cute outfit, and the part is, the dress costs 4,90€ as it's on sale. 4,90€ ain't nothing, this was a real bargain! As tomorrow's big shopping spree is done, I may have some pictures for you. I still don't have the camera, but I probably can work something out. I'm dying for some new pictures of me to the itnernet, the best place to sell yourself. Ha.

Now I'm gonna head for a walk down the harbour with some Tom Vek and Juliette & The Licks on my mp3 - right after I've returned the lovely comments of the previous entry.

You know you missed me
23rd of June 2008 18:01pm

She's back! I'm sorry for being away for so long, but I found myself in a huge layout block accompanied by a lack of free time just for myself and the site. But now I'm here, with a plain layout with the bangable Asia Argento (we italians just do it better!) and the site renewed a bit (mainly the Sofi-section... ahem.). As I don't have a camera right now, and I'm getting fed up with the most "recent" pictures of me, there's no pictures of me here now. But, as my Nikon-baby should be mine in July, then you should have the opportunity to look at my face. Ha! I made the font smaller, whaddya think? With this certain layout I prefer it smaller.

Soooo, a lot has been going on, I've been busy with work and social life, thus not being able to get this site up and running earlie. The summer's been great and has made me feel happier overall, last weekend was a party weekend and the first two weeks of July the house is all mine as the rest of the maniacs, meaning my family, go to Italy. So, I'm gonna have a bohemian society made from me and my friends for two weeks living here - and the best part is, I decide who comes in. It's gonna be a blast, specially 'cause my payday is the 30th, so I'll also have money to shop and get materialistic and, most importantly, drunk!

I didn't get into that music high school - Vaskivuori - that I tried to get into, but I guess it doesn't matter, as I got into the Martinlaakso high school, which is 10min away. I'm gonna start studying russian again, as I did for nine years during elementary school and upper secondary school, but I still can't really have a russian conversation for more than "what's your name, how are, where do you live, how old are you" and name some animals. My russian lessions are in Vaskivuori, and Tommi's italian lessons are in Martinaakso, so I actually prefer being in Martinlaakso.

My best friend Nana and I are also probably gonna take a little trip to Estonia during this weekend, as long as we've got money for it. It's all about shopping cheap clothes, cheap drinks, cheap everything. It's nice 'cause from Helsinki you can get to Tallinn and back with 40€ with a cruiser, you leave in the morning, spend a few hours on the ship, then have 5-7 hours to walk around Tallinn and then a few hours back. With 100€ you can go to Tallinn, get shitloads of stuff and come back. Doesn't get much better than that for me & Nana, we've never done anything like this together and we actually haven't been spending time in two for a long time. Actually tonight is the first night since mid-february that I won't be sleeping next to Tommi - he's having a boy's night out with Ville & Erkka. So my evening will consist of the internet, the XBOX 360 and waking up at 6:30am to get to work. Yay!

So, a personal-life entry this time. Some promotional whoring coming up in the next update, a tiger never loses her stripes, right? See ya!
